The scourge of Death walks on four legs and flies on broken wings to rip your flesh and take your soul.
The destruction of Terran 5 was only the beginning. Now, Earth faces a new nightmare as a cataclysmic meteor strike unleashes chaos in Southern California. From the black ooze of the meteor comes a deadly corruption, turning wildlife into savage predators and leaving the region’s residents trapped in a fight for survival.
In the shadow of mounting terror, a fractured team of scientists and survivors races to uncover the meteor's secrets. As the infected wildlife grows more relentless, the fragile boundaries of safety begin to collapse.
The howl of the dead echoes through the Coachella Valley, warning of a greater threat to come. Can the survivors contain the destruction before it spreads beyond control, or is Earth doomed to repeat the fate of Terran 5?
The Savage Apocalypse continues in this chilling second installment, where survival comes at a steep price and the horror is only beginning.
The occupants of the car speeding down the I-10 were completely unaware of the nightmare they were barreling into. Music thumped from the speakers, bass shaking the windows as they passed a joint around, their laughter mingling with the acrid scent of weed and the tang of cheap liquor.
“Man, I’m telling you, they should just legalize everything,” Mike argued from the back, his voice rising over the noise as he brushed the hair out of his eyes. “People are gonna do what they want, anyway. Just regulate it and make it safe.”
Sarah, sitting next to him, frowned as she passed the joint back. She shook her head emphatically. “Are you serious? You want the government controlling even more? They’d mess it up, just like everything else they touch.”
Tyler glanced in the rear-view mirror while trying to keep his focus on the road in his impaired state, his grip on the wheel tightening subconsciously. “It’s not about control. It’s about reducing harm. Look at what prohibition did back in the day—it only made things worse.”
Melissa, in the passenger seat, was half-listening, her phone in hand as she took a bunch of blurry photos of the group. She pulled the neck of her shirt out and snapped a quick picture of her boobs and snickered as she turned the phone toward Tyler, who dared a glance at the screen and immediately had to jerk the car back onto the road when he went onto the shoulder.
“Watch what you’re doing up there!” Sarah demanded, “or you’re gonna get us killed.”
“Hey, it’s not my fault,” Tyler answered. “Blame the phone queen up here.”
Melissa chuckled and turned in her seat toward the back, “You guys are so naive. It’s all about money. The second they figure out how to make bank on it, they’ll flip the switch, and suddenly it’s all ‘safe and legal.’ But it’s not really about us.”
“Exactly!” Mike chimed in, leaning forward. “It’s all a game to them, and we’re just the pieces. We might as well play by our own rules, then.”
Sarah rolled her eyes. “Playing by your own rules is what gets you in trouble, Mike. Just because the system’s flawed doesn’t mean anarchy’s the answer.”
“Anarchy’s not what I’m talking about,” Mike shot back before taking another hit. “I’m talking about personal freedom, responsibility, you know?”
Tyler replied, “Listen, freedom’s great, but not if it means everyone’s out for themselves. There’s gotta be some kinda balance.”
The debate continued passionately for some time, with everyone oblivious to the dark clouds gathering in the distance. Outside, the desert was eerily silent, the only sound the rush of wind against the car and the thumping bass inside. But then, Tyler saw something—movement in the corner of his eye.
“What the…?” he muttered, leaning forward to get a better look.
Suddenly, the car jolted violently, as if struck by something massive. “Holy shit!” Tyler yelled, as he yanked the wheel to keep the vehicle under control.
“What the hell was that?” Melissa shrieked, clutching at the dashboard. “Did we hit another car?”
“I don’t know! Something’s out there!” Tyler shouted back, his heart pounding as he gripped the steering wheel tight.
In the distance, the road ahead seemed to shimmer, an undulating wave of blackness that surged into the car’s headlights. Before anyone could react, a swarm of writhing, churning creatures swept across the asphalt, a living river of beetles, scorpions, and spiders, all moving with terrifying coordination. Above them, a whirlwind of flying insects rocketed toward the vehicle, flying in parallel to wave of death approaching on the ground. The creatures slammed into the car like an unholy force of nature. The windshield was instantly obscured by the seething mass.
“Oh my God, what’s happening?” Sarah screamed, clawing at the door as the insects began to seep through the vents and the cracks in the windows.
Tyler slammed on the brakes, the tires screeching as the car skidded across the slick road. But it was too late—the swarm engulfed the vehicle, the sound of thousands of tiny bodies slamming against metal and glass drowning out their screams.
